What is this?
Aug 2007 → Mar 2009, month by month. Compare what was visible to a normal observer to what was happening underneath that almost nobody could see. The scrubber walks the six canonical stages of a crisis (build-up → complacency → trigger → panic → contagion → intervention) and shows the tells in the right-hand column.
Why should I care?
Crises feel obvious in retrospect and incomprehensible in the moment. Walking through one slowly, with both columns visible, builds the muscle to read the next one while it's happening.
